Club Newsletter June 2023

So many great things happening with the Seven Birches Wine Club this month!  First of all, we are trying something new with respect to the monthly club newsletter.  This month, we decided to put Mark on the spot with a Facebook Live Update for club members, which he did back on June 7th.  The plan is to host an evening update with Mark on the first Wednesday each month.  The next date would be July 5th.  Check out the recording of Mark’s June Update below, and make sure you register for the next event on July 5th.

Secondly, this is the month to order up and earn DOUBLE POINTS for the whole month of June.  Part of our enhanced wine club benefits, is our loyalty rewards program where you earn points for wine/beverage purchase,s both online and in our stores.  Double Points means more buying power on future purchases.

We are still selling our Club Travel trips, including 1 space remaining on the NY Finger Lakes trip this month and more available on our bucket list trip next July, 2024 to Europe.  Check them both out here.

We hope you are enjoying the wines from the recent Spring Wine Release.  Most of you have already picked up your wine or had it shipped.  IF you have not yet picked it up, please remember that we hold your specific wines for 4 months (until the end of August).  After that, you will have a credit to spend in our store, if your wines are sold out.

Pick Up

Good news and bad news.  Bad news first.

During the overnight hours of May 17th, we experienced a deep frost for several hours that, unfortunately, killed the new buds/shoots that were growing in the vineyard.  That event means that we will lose all of the grapes from those vines this year.   Most of the vines have survived and are already growing back, however there are some that did not live through it, particularly the Marquette vines in block D, the youngest block that was planted last year.

Check out the video Mark posted about the vines.  More updates as we see how they rebound this year.  We expect no long term damage and hope that we’ll be back in business next year.  That’s how it goes, growing grape vines at our lattitude and altitude here in the mountains.

Now the good news!  Recently, Seven Birches Winery and Rhythm Ciders submitted some wines and ciders to the Big E Wine & Cider Competition.  The results are in!  We are coming home with 2 Golds, 2 Silvers, and 5 Bronze Medals, plus 1 Best of Show and a Best of NH.  We are not quite ready to spill more tea about this just yet, but we will keep you updated very soon!  Award winning wines and ciders has a nice ring to it, does it not?

June is PRIDE Month and we are proud to be supporting diversity, every day, but also financially with our fundraiser this month.  For every bottle of Rhythm PRIDE Honey Cider that we sell this month, we will donate 15% to  North Country Pride here in NH.  The work that this organization does to raise awareness for the issues of the LGBTQ+ Community is tireless.  And, we appreciate it.  So, please stop in and grab some pride and celebrate LOVE with us.

Tasting rooms have expanded outdoors and we are psyched to be offering our wine slushies again at the Rhythm Studio this summer.  At RiverWalk we are again featuring our signature Seven Birches Sangria, which you can actually take home with you!
