Exploring five wineries with our members was truly a lot of fun, and we’re already excited for many more local adventures like this. If you see upcoming trips and want to join, don’t wait too long as they tend to fill up quickly!

Rhythm Cider Update with Zach
Welcome to Cider Season! That’s right with the leaves changing, early morning frost and apples ripening means we are officially in cider season. Here at Rhythm Cider we want to ask what does cider season mean to you? Sure, drinking cider is a part of it but what components of the Fall really give us the feeling and meaning of it being the best time of the year? It could be the family trips to the apple orchards, cider donuts, or beautiful hikes in the woods with leaves crunching each step. Personally I love the Fall for the time spent with family, there’s nothing better than getting together on the weekend, splitting a pie over a couple of ciders. Here at Rhythm we are pulling out our best work to make this Cider Season as enjoyable as possible. New to the tasting room is our ‘Mulled Cider’ an absolutely delicious treat after a day spent in the White Mountains. On Fridays we have introduced “Free Cider Flight Friday with Zach”. This is an event that we will be running on Fridays till Thanksgiving for cider enthusiasts to come in and experience what natural hard cider Rhythm has to offer. Last but not least our event tastings are packed! By visiting the Rhythm Cider website and clicking the ‘Tasting and Events’ button you can see where we will be providing tasting though the entire state of NH this Fall. Up here in the White Mountains we love Cider Season and want to do our best to give you an experience that you won’t forget! Remember if you can’t make it up to our tasting room you can always enjoy the mountains from a can of Rhythm Cider in a store near you! Happy Fall everyone.

Production News with Nate
Nathan Maser, Wine and Cider Maker
As summer comes to a close our thoughts, here in the cellar, turn towards our California grape harvest and all the apples starting to be picked across New England. We are continuing to replenish our aging wine inventory that was almost completely depleted moving from our old space in the east wing of the RiverWalk Resort. With this goal in mind, along with making the best wine we possibly can for you folks, we are doing another large harvest this year. We will be maxing out just about every tank we have available and we couldn’t be more excited. Harvest, grape crush, and fermentation are the most grueling but, by far the most fun and rewarding time we have all season. We work long, hard days, but it’s all worth it when we change those amazing little grapes into wine. We are also paying close attention to our own vineyard out back. We have gotten the bird netting up on over ¾ of the vineyard. We decided to not bird net the rows furthest from the pool. These are our youngest vines and are not quite old enough to be fully producing grapes yet. Next year we should be putting bird netting on the entire vineyard and getting our first full harvest from our estate vineyard here at the RiverWalk. The sugar levels in our grapes are slowly rising and we are thinking we will probably be harvesting before the end of the month! It is also time for us to start bottling the red wines that you all will be enjoying this fall and into the winter. We will be bottling a lot of our classics like our Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Sunset, and Rebel. We have a couple wines that are going to be making it onto the tasting menu this fall that we haven’t had in a few years like the Angel, a rose wine, and our Wild, which is a naturally fermented white wine. Meaning we did not add any yeast to this wine but let the natural yeasts take over. It’s fruity, semi sweet, with a hit of minerality. Couldn’t be more excited for this wine to hit the shelves. Switching gears to cider; by time this newsletter posts we will have received our first batch of fresh pressed sweet cider from the 2025 harvest. So we are officially in #ciderseason here in the cellar. We will continue to ferment and make hard cider year round, but nothing is quite as special as getting the first harvest of apples pressed and starting to ferment. I love fall in New Hampshire and I hope to see all of you up here soaking up the warm sun during the day and sitting around a fire pit during the cool nights. Cheers!
