Club Newsletter November 2023

What an unbelievable season we just had! Our Fall Release Party exceeded our expectations with an impressive turnout. It was a pleasure to finally meet all of you in person after only knowing you via email! You all really came out ready to party and I was impressed with all the costumes! We hope you enjoyed Denise and Missa’s workshops as well. Both were engaging and informative. Personally, I thoroughly enjoyed them! There is a wealth of knowledge to be gained about cider, wine, and cheese as well as the associated health benefits. We sincerely appreciate your support and hope you had fun. After all, we did say this party was going to be the one to remember! Looking ahead, we anticipate hosting more events in our new venue next year similar our Fall Release Party. Exciting things are going on here in the production room. In the beginning of October we brought in just shy of 10 tons of grapes from California. We decided to concentrate our efforts on three grapes this year; Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Syrah. I am pleased to report that all the grapes looked and tasted great. These grapes have been crushed, the must fermented to dryness, the grapes have been pressed off the must and the new wine has been transferred into oak barrels. As the last of this year’s wine was moved into their aging vessels we started to bring in Sweet apple cider from our orchards around New Hampshire. We received 1080 gallons of sweet cider from Applecrest Orchards in southern New Hampshire. The 1080 gallons will be turned into our 23Pride-Cider and 23Orginal-Cider to kick off our cider making season. We have a few ideas of new hard ciders to be released this year, so keep your eyes out for them. One other exciting event is the wine club that was just released at the beginning of this month. I am proud to say that a majority of the wine in the Fall club release this year are some of my favorites that I have ever made. It contains a few of our staple favorites, like Rebel and Savanna, a couple wines we haven’t released in a few years like the Tempranillo, and we are extremely pleased to have released several new wines this year including our Satori and Kismet. From the production room here at Seven Birches we hope you enjoy this club release surrounded by friends and family this holiday season.

Effective January 1, 2024, the earn rate of the Loyalty Rewards Points Program will be changing from 10 points per dollar spent to 1 point per dollar spent for base tier. 2 points per dollar spent for silver tier. 3 points per dollar spent for gold tier. 4 points per dollar spent for platinum tier. We discovered this error late this year when reviewing the points values in members’ accounts.  Those of you that have earned 10 points per dollar spent since the beginning of the program have enjoyed an inflated points earning.  Good for you!  But, starting on January 1, 2024, everyone will begin earning points at the corrected rate. Bonus points, tier program points, and longevity points will remain unchanged.   Keep in mind that all of your tier benefits are given to you in the form of points valued at the benefit described in the Enhanced Wine Club Benefits page.  Although we give you points for specific things (like free tasting or free bottle of wine), you may use your points however you wish.
