Seven Birches Wine Varieties
Seven Birches Winery is handcrafting wine from classic European grapes (vitis vinifera), sourced from around the world, from non-grape fruits such as apples, blueberries, strawberries, etc. that are sourced from local farms, and some hybrid varieties that we grow.
Vitis Vinifera
Classic European varietal grapes, such as Cabernet, Chardonnay, Merlot, Pinot Grigo, etc. These are the wines you would generally find in most wine stores.
Hybrid Varieties
Developed by Cornell University, and the University of Minnesota, these grape vines are a cross between vitis vinifera and cold-hardy American varieties. Find hybrid wines at northern-climate wineries and shops.
Fruit Wines
Fruits from local farms are fermented into some tantalizing wines. Fruits that grow well in NH are apples, blueberries, strawberries, peaches and many more.
