Are you recently engaged? Congratulations! Now all the fun begins with planning your wedding. Your wedding day will be one of the best days of your life, so you’ll want to make it special. Did you know that one in four couples book a destination wedding?

The White Mountains of New Hampshire are a picturesque place to get married year-round. From incredible panoramic views that will leave your jaws dropped (and not to mention Instagram-worthy wedding photos!) to delicious local restaurants, breweries, and wineries to accommodations for all budgets, you’ll quickly see why Lincoln, New Hampshire is becoming a popular wedding destination.

During the summer of 2024, Seven Birches Winery is opening a new event space, the Seven Birches tasting room and Club Lounge inside the new RiverWalk Resort at Loon Mountain expansion.  The space, which can fit up to 150 people depending on the configuration, is the perfect location to host a wedding reception, rehearsal dinner, or even your engagement party.

Also opening in the summer of 2024 is the RiverWalk Resort Grand Ballroom, which is the perfect venue for weddings and receptions.  If you are getting married at the top of Loon Mountain, the perfect mountaintop wedding with stunning panoramic views of the White Mountains, perhaps consider our new facilities for your receptions.

The Perfect Non-Wedding Activities

While your wedding day is all about you (and your partner), a destination wedding also needs to be about your guests. Your guests are coming from near and far to help you celebrate so you want to ensure everyone enjoys the destination. The Greater Lincoln area is home to tons of indoor and outdoor activities to keep everyone from the youngest niece to great-grandma busy while you rest and relax before your big day.

Wedding planning can be stressful, but if you book your stay at the RiverWalk Resort, they can help you keep your guests busy all weekend long. The RiverWalk has a concierge who can answer all your guests’ questions, organize planned activities, and even take them on hikes nearby!

Another great idea, which will take a little work on your end, is to create an area guide for all your guests. Create pages on the best places to eat, trails to hike, and things to do. It’s easy to create a short PDF to email to your guests or post the information on your wedding website. Your guests will certainly thank you! RiverWalk’s blog is FULL of ideas on things to do in the area to help you get started.white mountain zipliningMany of Lincoln’s top attractions are within walking distance of the RiverWalk Resort. Head over to Alpine Adventures for Thrillsville Aerial Park and ziplining or the Hobo Railroad for scenic train rides or adventure mini-golf. Stay close to the resort and enjoy a tasting flight at one of our two wine tasting rooms or head over to One Love Brewery for a beer and a giant pretzel. The Gypsy Cafe is always a great option for lunch or you can order a pizza from La Vista.

For the wedding party, the boys can enjoy a morning round of golf at Jack O’Lantern Golf Course in Woodstock while the girls spend the morning getting pampered at Solstice North Day Spa. From hair to toes, you’ll leave the spa feeling like a million bucks!massage at spaThe Perfect Venue
